The Link to Aging and Disabilities Program is a collaborative effort among community agencies and the OLTL to provide services and supports to individuals over the age of 60 and persons 18 to 59 with disabilities.
Our mission statement is: The Mifflin-Juniata Link to Aging and Disability Resource will improve access to information and linkage to long term living supports and services. The target population for this project is adults age sixty and older and adults 18 years of age and older that are disabled and are in the need of long term living supports and services, regardless of their ability to pay.

Mifflin-Juniata County Commodity Food Distribution
The Mifflin-Juniata Area Agency on Aging annouces that distribution of the USDA Commodity Food will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the following locations and times.

Persons able to receive food must meet the following household monthly income requirements within the following limits:
1 Person - $1,354 2 Persons - $1,831 3 Persons - $ 2,289 4 Persons - $2,756
5 Persons - $3,224 6 Persons - $3,691 For each additional Household Member, add $468 a month.
Participants of this program will be served without regard to race, color, sex, religion, nationality, age or physical handicap.

The Mifflin-Juniata Senior Certers are air condition locations that you can go to during the day to beat the heat. The deadline to apply for PA. Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program for older adults and residents with diabilities has been extended from June 30 to December 31, 2010.
